TRVL DIARY: SARASOTA, FL

We just got back from Sarasota and it was glorious! I have been in such an on/off rut since March that I was in desperate need to get away from everyday routines, connect with nature, and disconnect from everything else.

Sarasota could have not been a more perfect getaway: sunny, picturesque beaches, cute shops & restaurants and so many things to do!

Below I'm sharing all of our trip deets plus some useful tips on how to spend your days in this beautiful town! We feel so so blessed that we were able to take this fun vacation and honestly can't wait to visit again!

WHAT I WORE

I kept my outfits simple and neutral because I wanted to keep the packing light and be able to easily mix and match. I was gifted the chic black crew neck from Tentree and it was one of my most worn items! It was perfect to wear over my bathing suits in the morning and looked so cute with shorts to watch the sunset.

WHERE WE STAYED

We opted to stay in Sarasota (a 20 min ride to Siesta Key) because we wanted our own house with a pool. This was by far the best decision because we hung out at the pool during the afternoon when the crowds at the beach would form. It was also great to have our own private space and a full kitchen so we had the option to stay in and cook for some meals.

Our airbnb was beautiful, affordable and super clean! The only hiccup we had was the air condition didn't extend to the living room so during the afternoon/evening it would get really hot.

THINGS TO DO + TIPS

WAKE UP EARLY - If you want to avoid the beach crowd the key is to wake up early. Nothing groundbreaking but the days we made it to the beach the earliest were the best because we were able to secure a somewhat secluded spot on the sand + enjoy the STUNNING skies at sunrise #soworthit.

EARLY BIRD DINNER - We had dinner every night at 6 and it was awesome because the restaurants were practically empty at that time. On our way out we were shocked by how packed the restaurants were.

MAKE RESERVATIONS FOR EVERYTHING - The key to a stress free vacay! Making reservations were necessary at most of the restaurants we visited and all the activities we did,
